THE STUDENT UNION BOARD

Housed under the Student Activity Council (SAC), the Student Union Board (SUB) is the entertainment bureau on campus that strives to bring artists, actors, and other creatives by curating events that are pursuant to the values of the AU community. While representing the diversity that defines AU, we aim to express the interest of a wide range of students. Our goal is to bring free-spirited events to the well-deserving students.

SUBJAM

The beginning of the upcoming school year is marked with our back-to-school concert, SubJam. It takes place in the Ampitheater in late August or early September.

OUR EVENTS

SUBZERO

Our winter concert is called Subzero. It served as the start of winter break. The Mary Gordon Center's (MGC) Tavern typically serves as the venue.

AMFEST

Our major spring celebration is Amfest. The festival offers all-day entertainment, food, and games. Our big headliner concert on the American University Quad that night.

MEET OUR DIRECTOR

NICOLE JEAN-PIERRE

Nicole Jean-Pierre is a junior at American University studying Business and Entertainment with a specialization in Information Systems and Technology and a minor in Marketing. Nicole plans to attend law school to become an entertainment lawyer post her time at AU.

Nicole currently serves as the Director for the Student Union Board (SUB) after serving as the Finance Deputy last year. Nicole hopes to foster community at American with all things entertainment from concerts, open mics, the arts, speaker events, and many many more.

Outside of being the Director for SUB, Nicole serves as the co-creative director for The BlackPrint Magazine, works as a peer consultant for Kogod’s Center for Professionalism & Communications, a Goldman Sachs Case Competition winner, and an avid Brent Faiyaz fan. Nicole can’t wait for what’s in store for her term as SUB Director this year!
