AU’s Premier Community Building Event Organization

The Spirit & Traditions Board (STB) helps plan events that bring students from different backgrounds together and find ways to acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional students who contribute to AU's success. Our goal is to unite the university community through our efforts. We organize events and projects that celebrate AU's traditions and values, and promote a strong feeling of pride and belonging.

  • Come and support the Women’s Volleyball team on Thursday, September 10th 2026! This AU annual tradition, includes face painting, raffle prizes courtesy of the AU Spirit and Traditions Board (Airpods, JBL Speakers, and AU Swag Bag), and a FREE Blue Crew T-shirt for all students!

Director of the Spirit & Traditions Board

Contact Jackson

Jackson Kreiner is a senior at American University majoring in International Studies through the Global Scholars Program. A leader within AMIRS, an Orientation Leader, and a dedicated member of the Sine Institute of Policy and Politics, he is constantly working to support and improve the AU community. A former Freshman Fellow turned General Staff member, Jackson has spent his time in STB working both behind the scenes and during events to ensure all productions run smoothly and each student is provided with an entertaining and engaging experience. As the Director of the Spirit and Traditions Board for the 26-27 academic school year, Jackson is focusing on planning and executing large scale spirit events for the student population, and alongside his team is working to establish and build upon the traditions that make AU special.
