AU’s Premier Community Building Event Organization
The Spirit & Traditions Board (STB) helps plan events that bring students from different backgrounds together and find ways to acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional students who contribute to AU's success. Our goal is to unite the university community through our efforts. We organize events and projects that celebrate AU's traditions and values, and promote a strong feeling of pride and belonging.

Emily Moro, Director of the Spirit & Traditions Board
Emily Moro is a double major in CLEG and Political Science at AU, where she is also pursuing a certificate in Women, Policy, and Political Leadership. Her passion for corporate law, education equity, and youth financial literacy drives her work both on and off campus. Emily got her start with the Spirit and Traditions Board through the Student Activity Council, where she served as Co-Chair. She is also the Founder and President of Financial Literacy at AU and the Director for the Center for Advocacy and Student Equity.
On campus, Emily has held leadership roles across various organizations and serves as a program leader, facilitating ethical debates and guiding students through topics in business and AI.
Off-campus, Emily has worked in academic mentorship, legal sales operations, and finance. Emily is a recipient of several prestigious scholarships, including the Dell Scholar Award and the Gloria W. Brown Endowed Scholarship. In her free time, she enjoys community organizing, mentoring, and cheering on her favorite South Florida sports teams.

STB will kick off the semester with a partnership with the team over at AU special events for convocation! The following week, STB partners with AU athletics women’s volleyball for Bender Blue Out, where we’ll be hosting a giveaway! Please check out all of our upcoming events above.
